A Terrible Accident

I won't be posting for a while as my husband has been involved in a very serious car accident and is critically ill in Royal Liverpool Intensive Care Unit. I am staying in Liverpool to be close to him and I will update you as soon as I can. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you

Sugar Nellie Wallet

Made this card at Craft Club this week and I think its absolutely fab. It was a joy to make and its a different idea for that could be adapted for any age. The tags could be substituted for gift cards or money, I shall be making these for the grandchildren this year.
Thanks to Andrea for her wonderful inspiration as always and apologies for the slightly blurred images!

More Christmas Cards!

Been playing with my 'lil bug' again this week and here are a few cards created. The glitter window on the ice crystal cards was done by cutting a 'nestie' circle then layering strips of sellotape along the back of the circle and rubbing lots of fine glitter into the tape, easy!

Chocolate on Prescription!!

Been for my 'MOT' this morning and because I am at increased risk of Osteosporosis (my mum had it ) my doctor gave me a list of Calcium rich foods and included on the list is MILK CHOCOLATE!! The calcium content of per 100g of chocolate is 220, so there you go, I can eat chocolate and be guilt-free, its good for me! Sardines have twice the content at 460 but given the choice...... the chocolate wins every time!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 28

This is my entry for this weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge 28 which is 'food'. I have coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and Sansador. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder for embossing and the hearts are punched and hand-written.

Tuesday Craft Club Cards

These are the cards we made at this weeks craft club. Love the triple fold card with the Sugar Nellie's and cute verse. This was a real pelasure to make and really pleased with the end result.
Inkadinkadoo stamps were used for the Poinsettia card. Image coloured and matted and layered with red Bazill and gold mirri card. The red ribbon really finishes this one perfectly. Thanks to Andrea, as always for her brillaint inspiration.

Mamma Mia!!

As you have probably guessed by my new playlist, I have been to see Mamma Mia and what a fabulous film! If you haven't seen it and you are a fan of Abba (as I am), then its a must see! I thoroughly enjoyed it, its a 'feel good' film. I could have sat there and watched it over again and Pierce Brosnan, phoar!! He should stick to acting though, his singing voice isn't that brilliant, but hey...his body more than makes up it! Can't wait for the DVD and I just gotta have the CD!

You Made My Day

Made using the Cuttlebug 'with love' embossing border folder and 'Diamonds in the Rough' folder. Stamped sentiment and cut circles using Nestabilities with Cuttlebug. Chalked to give a hint of colour.

Rosalie and her bicycle

This is one of my favouite stamped images. Used Prisma pencils and sansador, doodled frame a added stickles glitter. Added little cotton bows and sentiment.

Snowman & Snowflake Santa

A couple of cards made using my trusty old Cuttlebug. Stamped and coloured with Prisma pencils and added stickles glitter. The Merry Christmas sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp.

Christmas Candles

Well I finally had a go at stamping these candles and they were so easy! I followed a tutorial and here are the links:
www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/stampedcandles.php
or www.stampin.com/tips/candles.htm

You have to make sure you pull the greasproof paper really tightly when heating with the heat gun and I 'polished' the candles and image with a soft cloth when cool.

This is my first attempt at distressing, okay I have been distressed many times but nothing to do with cardmaking!
This is a little out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed making this card, its different to my usual style.
