Monster Pegs!

Don't ya think these pegs are sooo cute?
When I saw them at craft club on Tuesday night, I just had to have a go at dressing em up! Andrea had done some really fabby ones, she is a clever girl, don't know where she gets her inspiration but glad she does! The pegs actually measure 6" x 1.5" so they are quite big but great idea for holding little notes or just as a small thank you gift.

I covered mine with Basic Gray 'Sugared' paper, added a Tilda and some Anita's ribbon, a bit of bling and stamped sentiments. This one is going to my daughter Donna, she loves anything out of the ordinary so I know she will love this!
PS. I bought this peg at my local craft shop, not sure of the make of them, but will try to find out!!

Photo Challenge

I have been sent a photo challenge by Fiona and the challenge is to go into your picture folders and pick the 6th one, then choose the 6th photo, post it on your blog and explain the photo! You never know what you will find! Mine is quite boring, it was taken a couple of years ago at Anglesey, but I just had to capture that beautiful rainbow and I took the picture with my phone! The bottom photo is the actual 6th photo but I had to show you the full rainbow.

Now I have to pass this photo challenge on to 6 people, so here goes:

Looking forward to seeing those photos girls!!

Twin Boys

The inspiration for this lovely card came from the very talented Sue Nelson of Heart Prints. The stamp is House Mouse -Cozy Shoe, it's not very clear from the photo but the embossing is on both sides of the gatefold front. I thought the little feet ribbon complimented the shoe perfectly.
My camera is misbehaving today!

Don Update

It's quite a while since I updated on Don's progress after his dreadful accident last September and lots of people have enquired about him. It's almost 4 months since he was hit by the car and almost killed and he has been home from hospital now for 5 weeks, he has improved so much in that short time. His determination is remarkable, he is now walking almost unaided and his broken bones have all healed. His brain injury is going to take a lot longer to heal and after the massive trauma he suffered, he could never be the same person, but we are so lucky to still have him with us. He has a couple of physio sessions a week and he has really pushed himself to be mobile and independant. In the early days, I was helping him to do almost everything but now he is doing a lot more for himself. The sight in his right eye has gone completely and the long term prognosis is that it will never be regained. He still has the sight in his left eye and he is slowly adjusting and managing to read and watch TV which he couldn't do 5 weeks ago. Of all the injuries he suffered, the loss of his sight is the most devastating for him and some days it really gets to him and he feels very down and depressed. He lost 3 stone in weight but he is slowly gaining it back, must be my good cooking (LOL!). Don always did the cooking so its a big culture shock for me! Still, he is keen to try and do a bit of cooking again so fingers crossed it won't be for much longer!

Our lives have been turned upside down by this dreadful accident, its affected the whole family and we are all still trying to come to terms with it. The driver of the car that hit him is due in court sometime in March and once thats over hopefully we can move on and get on with our lives as best we can. I will keep you updated on his progress and thanks again to everyone.

How gorgeous is she........??

This is 'Belle' isn't she adorable? She is my daughter's Christmas and birthday present from her partner Darren. She is 10 weeks old, she is a Bichon Frise and we all love her to bits, she is just like a little cuddly teddy bear. I wanted to share her with you, cos I know you will fall in love with her too.
I can hear you all sighing 'awwww!'
