It's Your Day

Only managed to create one card today, using the Hero Arts stamp again, hope you like this one

Cards from Tuesday Craft Club

Made these 2 cards at Craft Club last night. The gatefold card is so quick and simple using Hero Arts Sunflower stamps. They look really fresh and summery.
Thanks to Andrea for her inspiration for these stunning cards!

This one again is made using Hero Arts stamps, purple and green is a lovely colour combination.

More Sugar Nellies!

This one I have made for my neighbour Lara who is expecting her second baby in a couple of weeks time. This stamp is sooo cute!!

Sugar Nellies

Well spent the afternoon making cards with my new Sugar Nellie stamp and I think the stamps are so cute I have been on Ebay and won 4 more! This one is for my friend Tina for her birthday next week. Hope everyone is well and had a nice day, especially Viv and Pam, hope you had a good day's crafting in Derby!

A nice relaxing afternoon away from football!

Spent the afternoon today with Linda and Jayne at the Farm Gate Craft Shop and Linda kindly let me use some of her Sugar Nellie stamps. These stamps are so cute, they are very alike to the Magnolia Tilda ones. Of course I just had to have one of the stamps and this is the one I bought and now can't wait to have a play, so watch this space!

Jessica's 17th Birthday

This is my granddaughter Jessica's 17th birthday card.

Watercoloured the Penny Black stamp with Prisma pencils and Sansador, matted onto nestabilities circle scallops. Used the Cuttlebug Swirls folder and as this is an A5 size card, I embossed 2 pieces then joined up (like wallpaper!), the scalloped circle hides most of the join! Printed the sentiment on PC and then used Swiss Dots folder to emboss. Added a bit of bling with glitter and flowers and the final touch, pink organza ribbon. A very girly card, I am sure she will love it.

Wise Owl

This is another card made at last nights craft class. These stamps are really cute, the verse inside is 'follow your dreams, except the one where you're at work in your underwear'

The circles for the card were cut on a Cricut machine, first time I had ever seen one of those machines in action, quite impressive. Think I will stick to my nesties for now though!

Poo Happens!

Went to a craft club last night for first time and this is one of the cards we made. I thought this stamp was fab! Really enjoyed the class, met lots of like minded crafters whose eyes don't glaze over when you talk about eyelets, brads, and DST!

Really looking forward to going again next week, even though I am an experienced card maker, I enjoy the company and I have found that there is always something new to learn.

Thanks to Andrea and Linda for sharing their brilliant skills and to Jayne for keeping us fed and watered!

Trimcraft Demo

Went to a card making demo at my local craft store yesterday. The lady who was demonstrating was from Trimcraft, her name was Michelle Saxon. Anyway, she was very good and made some lovely cards using mainly origami. She was selling the goody bags, much like Do-Craft for £9.99 and what good value! The bag comprised of a 12 x 12 designer paper pack,8 x8 designer paper pack, fans designer template, 25 white cards & envelopes (C6), 2 sheets of peel offs, 1 pack of 3d foam squares, 1 pair creative scissors, 1 roll of organza ribbon and 1 packet of 8mm brads! I was well impressed and really chuffed with my bargain bag!

Michelle was telling us all about the new Trimcraft website which will go live on May 1st. I think it will be very much like the Do-Crafts website. You can register now and there is a craft goodies prize draw for £250 so its worth registering. I have already done so and can't wait to see the new site.

Anyway, came away with lots of inspiration, now I just have to keep it in my head and remember it! Another bonus, I met a lady I haven't seen for many years, we got chatting and she was telling me she began making cards only a short time ago after the death of her beloved mother at 93. Cardmaking is occupying her mind and she is enjoying it, though I think she has realised it is an expensive hobby!

A Difficult Card

Well I have been really challenged today. Someone at work asked me to make a 60th birthday card for her dad FOR MONDAY!! She gave me a photo of her and her siblings with dad and wants it incorporated into the card! So I racked my brains and had a look in my GCF and found something I think will be okay. Will have a try tomorrow, too tired tonight, can't even tackle my homework tonight, sorry Karenxx

New Baby Cards

Made these baby cards today using the my liitle Cuttlebug. I am a great fan of Sue Nelson of Heartprints, she gives me so much inspiration. First I printed the greeting out on PC, then put the card through the bug using the baby words folder. Scored a couple of lines, embossed the bottom half of card with Swiss Dots folder, added the peel offs, which I chalked with appropriate colour and added the bow. Then I taped it with DS tape to a pink or blue base card. Simple and effective.

Thanks to Donna

Thanks to another Do-Crafts Buddy, Donna, who has really helped me build my blog page today.

Karen is a STAR!!

My Do-Crafts buddy Karen helped me out big time by telling me how to dispose of the 2 slide shows, who needs SLIDE Customer Support! Thanks Karen, I owe you one.

60th Birthday card

Made this card today for my brother-in-law Alan. He is 60 in May and he is treating himself to a motorbike! So I thought this card would be very appropriate! He might get the bike but he definately won't get the model! Hope he likes it, he lives in Oz, so I will have to post off soon.

Had a frustrating day today!

I thought I would add a slideshow to my blog! Well, not as easy as I thought. I managed to add some pictures to my slideshow and it looked great, then i decided I would add more pictures and oops! I did something wrong, cos I ended up with 2 slideshows on my page and now I don't know how to delete them and start again! I have spent the whole afternoon on this and I have ended up emailing Slide Customer Support, I hope they can help me out!
