My New Toy!!

At long last I managed to find a Martha Stewart Doily punch and this is the card I made using this fabulously pretty punch.

The central square was so much easier than I thought it would be, it's just a 3" square of card. The punch is aligned centrally on each side and presto, a perfectly balanced punched square!

Cuttlebug Challenge & Charisma Cardz Challenge

One card for 2 challenges this week for me, I love it when that happens!

The Cuttlebug Challenge this week is to use Coredinations and Basic Grey on your card and this is my entry.

The Challenge over at Charisma Cardz is to use a colour combination of Pink & Brown so I think this one well qualifies!

The paper is from either the Bittersweet or Sugared pad, can't remember which one! The Coredinations card is from a 'Chocolate Box' pad and its the first time I have used Coredinations, wasn't too sure about it at first... but its grown on me! The embossing is of course the Cuttlebug stylised flowers folder.

I have coloured Tilda using prisma pencils and flowers and ribbon are from stash.

Just Magnolia Week 7 - Animals & Insects

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely sunny weather. Its been too hot and sticky to craft the last few days but today is a little cooler so I have spent some time in my craft room today and this card is the result. This is my entry for the Just Magnolia Challenge - Week 7, Animals and Insects. This week the challenge is Animals and Insects - your card has to feature either and the animal or insect does not have to be a Magnolia image - or even a stamp, it could be a die cut, a punch out, a charm, shaped button - anything as long as it is an animal or insect.

The papers are from the Basic Grey Bittersweet collection and I have used the Cuttlebug Paisley folder on Bazill card to match the paisley pattern of the paper. Lace and flowers are from my stash and the sentiment done on PC. Tilda has been coloured using Prisma pencils and Sansador and I just have to give these little ladies a smile!

Pink Elephant Sketch Challenge # 16

There is a brilliant sketch this week on Pink Elephant and this is my entry for it.

The half circle is cut using Papermania Multi-Shaper, which I have had for ages and never used!

The lovely flower stamp is Hero Arts Tall Posy, Bazill Bling CS, paper from stash and ribbon I stamped with sentiment.

Roses Tilda

This card has taken me ages to make but I am quite pleased with the end result. The lovely papers are from the Papermania Signature Blueberry Hill range. I coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and Sansador, the flowers are Prima and the leaves are Leone Em Ash punch.
I mirrored the inside and as the card is quite bulky with the ribbon and flowers I decided to make a box rather than squash it into an envelope. My first attempt at making a box, I usually buy them so I am pleased with how this one turned out.
The card is for my daughter's birthday tomorrow, hope she likes it!!

Wedding Card

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and had a good weekend despite the !!!! weather! Hopefully soon it will warm up a bit and we may even get some sunshine.

Made this card for a friend's wedding next weekend, its based on an idea I pinched from Eileen (Ikki - thanks hun!). If you haven't already paid a visit to Ikkis blog please do go and have a mosey, especially if you are a Cuttlebug lover. This card was very quick and easy to make, its just a 12 x 12 piece of paper from K&Company, wedding collection designer pad. Iv'e had this paper for ages but never really knew what to do with it until I saw Eileens beautiful creation. The sheet of paper is cut into 2 pieces and glued together and then folded in half. The hearts are done with nesties, sentiments on PC, cardstock is Bazil and the rest is from my stash.

Penny Black Birthday

Hello again, hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine, nice to see it back after all that rain.

Another card made over the wet weekend we had, not sure who this one will be for, probably my daughters at the end of May. Everything used on this card is from my stash, I am trying to use up the stacks of bits of paper and card that seems to accumulate and take over my craft room!

New Home

Hope everyone is well and enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend despite the rubbish weather. Still, a good excuse to stay at home and craft!

This is one of a few cards I managed to get done over the weekend, made for my granddaughter Kimberley and her boyfriend Carl who have recently moved into a new flat. Very quick and simple, I cheated and used Penny Black stickeroos, I love these frogs, the expressions on their little faces crack me up!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes

The challenge at PBSC is 'Anything Goes' - which means you can do anything as long as it incorporates a Penny Black image. This is my entry for the challenge.

Another 18th Card

I thought I would try to edge away from my usual pinks, greens and browns. These colours are way out of my comfort zone, but I quite like the finished effect. The image is another one of the Holly and Madison range from Charmed Cards & Crafts, I love their fantastic downloads and they have a great range of stamps too, although I haven't tried any of those (yet!). The background paper is from my stash, haven't a clue what make it is, the heart is a Nesite cut on the Cuttlebug, the clear plastic flower is also from my stash and the leaf branch is Leone Em Ash punch. I love decorating the insides of cards now as well as the front, its much more exciting than a boring old plain paper insert!

April is a busy month for birthdays in our family so the last few weeks I have been busy crafting plus keping up with Don's various hospital appointments, sometimes I don't know if I'm coming or going. The time goes so fast, can't believe we are almost into May already!

I have a few more cards to post here on my blog so keep checking back and thanks for looking.

18th Birthday Card

This card I have made for my granddaughter Jessica's 18th birthday which is today. The image is from Charmed Cards & Crafts - Holly & Madison. I have coloured the image using Prismas and Sansador. I made the flower using my Nesties Scalloped Circles, sentiment done on PC. The hearts inside were made using my Nesties Hearts.

Just Magnolia Challenge #1

The first challenge this week for 'Just Magnolia' is a sketch and this is my entry. This was a lovely sketch and the card just came together so well. The paper I have used is Basic Grey Bittersweet, the flowers I made using my scalloped circle nesties and the leaves are Leone Em Ash punch. Tilda is coloured using Prisma pencils and Sansador and I had to give this little Tilda a mouth, her face looked a little 'blank' to me!

Springy Tilda!!

Isn't this Tilda just sooo cute! This card is for Abbie my granddaghter who will be 12 next week, she is a very 'girly' girl so I am sure she will love this.

My New Nesties!

This card I made using my new nesties I have been saving my pennies for, the classic squares and hearts. Next on my wish list are the labels nesties, there are so many scrummy ones, I want them all! This stamp is of course a Penny Black - T.L.C. The sentiment is a rub-on and the text inside was done on PC.

Daffodils

I just had to share with you these beautiful daffodils and would you believe they are Tesco £1 daffs! They smell lovely too, I keep catching a whiff now and again, a lovely reminder that Spring really is here.

cuttlebug Spot Challenge # 25 - Easter Treat Containers

The challenge this week on Cuttlebug Spot is to make an Easter Treat Container and this is my entry. I made 30 of these little baskets, each contains a Cadbury's cream egg. I made them for the special needs children at the local school, their little faces when they saw them was worth every effort that went into making them. Had to be something quick and simple and this fitted the bill perfectly.

Z Fold Cards

I made a couple of Z Fold cards following a fab video tutorial by Linda Duke. The pink and cream card is for my sister's birthday next week and the cream one I was just playing around with my Cuttlebug folders using Swiss Dots and Paisley. Something different
