Easel Wedding Card

This is the matching box for the card

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and not missed me too much, its been a while since my last post...............just realised how long its been........... but I do have a good excuse (a few actually lol!) ... pull up a chair and grab a coffee......  well we had a wonderful break in Blackpool, lovely hotel, delicious food, fabulous entertainment and good company, what more could you ask for?  We needed that break for the challenges of the week ahead ........... Tuesday we travelled to Wrightington Hospital near Wigan........ Don had to have an injection into his shoulder ............ Wednesday and Thursday morning I spent at car dealerships trying to organise a new car...... doesnt half take some time with all the flippin paperwork!..... but worth it, I now have a lovely 1 year old Peugot 207!!  Thursday afternoon Don had an appointment at Manchester Royal Infiirmary, Friday I was working and Saturday Don had an appointment with a Neuropsychologist in Liverpool, we left at 9am and didnt get home until 5pm..... shattered!!!!  Walked through the door, Don needed the loo desperately and on his way up the stairs he tripped and fell!!  I ran upstairs fearing the worst, he was okay, said he hadn't hurt himself, just shaken up.  4.30am he woke me to say he didnt feel very well, he had pains in his chest and as he has had two heart attacks in the past and suffers with angina I phoned for an ambulance............ he was taken into hospital within minutes, Morphine, ECG's, X-Rays, Blood tests and then waiting for 5 hours in A&E for a bed.  Luckily all the tests came back negative, it wasn't a heart attack........ such a relief!   He was kept in for the day for observation and discharged at 8pm on Sunday evening...... they think it was bruising from the fall on the stairs.  So that was my week, where did it go?????  This week has been a little less hectic....... are you losing the will to live now.............?? ..... LOL, nearly finished!!!

Amongst all this mayhem I managed to make this card for my daughter for her friends wedding last Saturday...............I love this Marianne Die........... flowers are Wild Orchid, sentiments done on PC.

That's it from me for tonight, hopefully I will be back over the weekend with my DT card for Sunday Sketch and Stamp............... thanks for dropping by!

Twisted Easel Wedding Card

Front view with card closed

Hello again everyone, what a beautiful day it is here in Cheshire, the sun is shining, the birds are twitterpating and the spring bulbs are poking their little heads through. Yesterday was a washout, a wet and miserable day, I think the whole of the UK was the same so it's nice to see some sunshine today, makes you feel so much better and looking forward to Spring and what follows Spring........... Summer!! Yay!!

Well today's card is a twisted easel, been itching to have a bash at one of these for ages and as its almost Spring/Summer weddings come to mind.
There are lots of tutorials out there for this shape of card but the very talented Bev has an excellent one on her blog right now if you want to give it a whirl!

  • Image is LOTV, coloured with Promarkers, with lashings of Stickles Star Dust and Platinum for a bit of bling.

  • The paper is Papermania Confetti

  • The sentiment is Katie & Co ~ Happily Ever After.

  • Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.

  • Lace border is Martha Stewart.

  • Ribbon is Siam Pink Seam Binding from Wild Orchid Crafts

That's all from me today, so enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for dropping by.

LOTV Wedding

Firstly I will apologise for the rubbish quality of the photos in this post, I never seem to be able to get the lighting right when I photograph my work, do you have this problem and does anyone have any tips for making it easier?

I just adore this LOTV wedding stamp, so easy and quick to colour.  I have used Promarkers for this image with lashings of Star Dust Stickles glue.  The edges and the butterfly have all been distressed with Victorian Velvet DI and stickles again.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the pearls are from The Hobby House.  The background panels are embossed with Cuttlebug Tapestry and Swiss Dots folders.  The depth of the flowers make this card unsuitable for an envelope so I made a matching box following the same theme as the card which I think serves the purpose and makes a nice keepsake.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Tropical Wedding

My daughter and new SIL returned home today after their wedding in St Lucia and I thought you might like to see these beautiful photos of them.  Doesn't Donna look gorgeous and they look so happy.  We are pleased to have them back, we have really missed them both.  They had a wonderful time and loved St Lucia so much they are already booking a return trip for their anniversary next year!

Lili of the Valley Wedding

This card is for my daughter Donna who is in St Lucia after her wedding last Thursday to partner Darren. They are due home this week, can't wait to see them again, its only been 2 weeks but they seem to have been gone for ages! I couldn't resist this beautiful image from Lili of the Valley, its so cute and perfect for any wedding, be it in church or a beach.

I have coloured the image with Promarkers, the edges are coloured with Tattered Rose Distress Ink and glittered with Stickles. The embossing was done with Tapestry and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folders, again edged with DI and Stickles. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and these have been sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl and glittered with Stickles. The butterfly is an X-Cut punch which has again been glittered within an inch of it's life!!  The insert I have printed on the PC.

Thanks for looking and check back soon as I have a matching box to make for this card.

Wedding Card

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and had a good weekend despite the !!!! weather! Hopefully soon it will warm up a bit and we may even get some sunshine.

Made this card for a friend's wedding next weekend, its based on an idea I pinched from Eileen (Ikki - thanks hun!). If you haven't already paid a visit to Ikkis blog please do go and have a mosey, especially if you are a Cuttlebug lover. This card was very quick and easy to make, its just a 12 x 12 piece of paper from K&Company, wedding collection designer pad. Iv'e had this paper for ages but never really knew what to do with it until I saw Eileens beautiful creation. The sheet of paper is cut into 2 pieces and glued together and then folded in half. The hearts are done with nesties, sentiments on PC, cardstock is Bazil and the rest is from my stash.

Today's Cards

Trio of wedding tag cards. The one on the far right (blue one) is made using K&Co Wedding Tag Pad. The other two I made using one of the tags as a template, then stamped the 'To Have and To Hold' on the tag. Added ribbon and flowers and a bit of bling! The background papers are from a
12 x 12 Designer Paper pad.

Unusual Wedding Card

A friend asked me to make this card for her son's wedding tomorrow (28th June). The theme is black and white but the groom is wearing a blue jacket, so I chalked the jacket and pants and the bride's dress is decoupaged to give a 3D effect. I coloured the roses on the dress in black with Prisma pencils and added glitter and liquid pearls on the buttons and necklace. The sentiment was printed on PC and I used Nestabilities to make the circles, added rings peel off and added a bit of glitter. The sentiment inside reads: 'May all the love and happiness you two have found together, like the circle of a wedding band, go on and on ... forever. Wishing you happiness today and always.

Wedding Tags

Made at Craft Club last night. The tags were cut on a Cricut machine. The hearts stamped and embossed in silver and the tags were covered in a lovely pearlised wedding swirls paper. Middle tag is stamped and the cake and wedding couple are cut outs from "The Paper Company Studio" range.

Thanks to Andrea for the inspiration for this fabulous card.
