Afraid I'm not doing very well in my mission to create 2 christmas cards a day, life gets in the way, there always seems to be other more important tasks like boring housework, shopping etc!!

I have seen these circular easel cards on a few blogs lately and thought I would give it a go and you know what, they are so easy!! Had a play around with various shapes using Nesties and discovered almost any shape can be made into an easel card, I have yet to decorate them so as soon as that is done I will post them.

This card I made for my daughter's friend who is moving house very soon. Isn't this image just so sweet? It's a fab free image from Mo Manning (Mo's Digital Pencil), I love Mo's images they are a breeze to colour, this one has been done using Promarkers.
Apologies for the rubbish quality of the photo, the weather here has been dark and dismal today, not ideal conditions for decent photos.
Thanks for looking!

Magnolia Challenge and a Birthday!!

It's ages since I entered a challenge, I am usually kept busy with family birthdays etc, but when I spied the challenge on Just Magnolia this week I decided to combine it with my daughter Caron's 40th birthday card. I try to time my cards with challenges but I don't do very well, I always manage to miss the challenge or miss the birthday! I was on a roll with this card, not sure if I have gone a little over the top with this card but once I started it I couldn't stop! Still, Caron loves bling and sparkle so I am sure she will be happy with it.

I love this cute Tilda - Fairy Dust, she is coloured with Promarkers and she has been cut out with a Nestie oval using the 'out of the nestie' technique. The papers, card, butterfly and heart have been edged with Frayed Burlap DI and glittered with Stickles Gold. The papers are My Mind's Eye, Wild Asparagus and the lovely flowers are from Wild Orchid., again glittered with Stickles Gold and Star Dust.

The challenge this week at Just Magnolia is Vintage, I think this one qualifies for this challenge.

Thanks for looking, have a great week, hope the sun shines for you wherever you are.

The image is of course Penny Black, coloured with Promarkers and I have used Nestability Labels 3. The punch is Martha Stewart and background paper is Dovecraft Masculine.

This card I made for my daughter Katie and son-in-law Gareth to congratulate them on the birth of their beautiful baby daughter Evie Lily Mae.

The background paper is pebblesinc, I think its called 'My Baby Girl' and of course the circle shapes are cut using Nesties. I took about 100 photos before I found the perfect one!

Circular sentiment is printed on PC using Wordart.

Diamond Wedding

I followed the very talented Eileens tutorial for this beautiful Diamond Wedding card and I am really pleased at how it turned out and how easy and simple it was to make. If you haven't already done so, hop along to Eileens blog and have a look at her lovely creations. While your there take a peek at Ikki's Cuttlebug Cupboard, she has some really good ideas and tips using the bug.

Pregnant Willow

Ooh, I have been a bad blogger, just realised how long since my last post!! I have been a busy bee though, had loads of card requests and i have managed to almost finish most of them.

I am trying to make a start on my Christmas cards, I can see it will be a last minute rush - again!!

This is a sweet little card I made for a friend of mine whose son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first baby next Spring. I managed to find a lovely verse to add to the inside of the card:

First in your world,
First in your eyes,
First in your thoughts,
First in your lives,
First in your hearts
As a brand new life starts
Your very first baby
Your joy

Paper - My Minds Eye paper pack, Wild Asparagus
Brown Bazill Card Stock
Pregnant Willow & Rose Swing - Whiff of Joy, coloured with Prisma Pencils
Sentiment - Whiff of Joy, baby words
Fiskars Scalloped Lace Punch
Nesties Ovals - Plain and Scalloped
Ribbon from stash

AJ's Christening Card

My great-nephew Aiden Jack (AJ) was christened today, we had a lovely day and he was as good as gold throughout the ceremony, although he wasn't impressed when the vicar poured water on his head! He didn't cry though bless him.

This is the card I made for his christening and of course I just had to use one of my new Whiff of Joy Womens Delight stamps!

I intended to move the teddy charm to one side before I took the photo as its obscuring the sentiment but I was in such a hurry to photo it before I took the card with me this morning!

Whiff of Joy Women's Collection

The new stamps from Whiff of Joy - 'Womens Delight Wedding & Baby Collection' are so gorgeous and as my daughter is expecting her second baby in January I just had to make her a card with the pregnant Willow stamp. We both love pink (how would you guess!!) and as she is hoping this one is a little girl I thought the pink would be appropriate and might just be lucky for her. Doesnt matter if its a boy though, as long as he/she is healthy.

Penny Black Birthday

Hello again, hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine, nice to see it back after all that rain.

Another card made over the wet weekend we had, not sure who this one will be for, probably my daughters at the end of May. Everything used on this card is from my stash, I am trying to use up the stacks of bits of paper and card that seems to accumulate and take over my craft room!

New Home

Hope everyone is well and enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend despite the rubbish weather. Still, a good excuse to stay at home and craft!

This is one of a few cards I managed to get done over the weekend, made for my granddaughter Kimberley and her boyfriend Carl who have recently moved into a new flat. Very quick and simple, I cheated and used Penny Black stickeroos, I love these frogs, the expressions on their little faces crack me up!

Just Magnolia Challenge #1

The first challenge this week for 'Just Magnolia' is a sketch and this is my entry. This was a lovely sketch and the card just came together so well. The paper I have used is Basic Grey Bittersweet, the flowers I made using my scalloped circle nesties and the leaves are Leone Em Ash punch. Tilda is coloured using Prisma pencils and Sansador and I had to give this little Tilda a mouth, her face looked a little 'blank' to me!

My New Nesties!

This card I made using my new nesties I have been saving my pennies for, the classic squares and hearts. Next on my wish list are the labels nesties, there are so many scrummy ones, I want them all! This stamp is of course a Penny Black - T.L.C. The sentiment is a rub-on and the text inside was done on PC.

Six More Mothers Day Cards

I have been really busy making these Mothers Day cards made to order, I have about 10 more to make! I am trying to make each one different and unique so that no two are the same. As you can see I have used the Cuttlebug and Nesties on each of the cards and coloured the images using Prisma pencils. The inspiration for the orange and yellow card came from the lovely ribbon I have used on this card, I thought I would pick out the orange, white and lemon.

This one was made using the fabulous new 'Smirk' Love & Friendship papers and stamp, the sentiment is die-cut on the Cuttlebug.

Hedgie Mothers Day

I have been asked to make quite a few Mother's Day cards by friend's and as I enjoy making these scalloped circle cards so much it would make it less of a chore! I have used pink Bazzil Card and of course the scallops are made using the trusty old Cuttlebug. The sentiment inside is a stamp I have had for ages that came free with a magazine. I shall be making lots more of these style of cards and posting them on my blog, so keep a look out.

My Time to Craft Challenge 44 - 'Mice & Easy!'

The challenge this week at My Time to Craft is 'Mice & Easy' so I have chosen this cute 'Cozy Shoe' stamped card as my entry. (Apologies for the poor photo quality).
